EXECUTIVE PROTECTION SERVICES We are a small firm, therefore we are able to customize our services to each of our client's individual needs and expectations, without compromising quality to meet those needs or changing our tactics to meet expectations. Our approach to protecting executives, their families and business interests has three phases: Phase 1) Immediate physical security and determination of the severity of the threat to your safety. Phase 2) Temporary measures to restore overall physical security and a methodical and careful analysis of the threat, and how best to manage or neutralize it. Phase 3) Permanent procedures to insure long term security to the family and business interests of the client and a judicial and possibly penal solution to the cause of the threatening event. This is a goal oriented approach to your problem and it's ultimate resolution. Due to the many variables in critical incidents such as individual lifestyles, family obligations, religious beliefs and other factors, it is impossible to be specific in terms of method. However, some general principles as to how these goals can be accomplished are in order. The principles that we embrace and adhere to are not new. They evolved from feudal Japan, where the protection of family (dynasty) and their assets (wealth and land) were entrusted to the Samurai and the way of Bushido. Much has changed in the past few centuries, but these changes amount to nothing more than equipment and logistics. The goals and principles of the ancient Samurai endure, and continue to guide us today. This brings us to our first order of business, in regards to our client's needs and expectations. We know that they need to have security and order restored for themselves and their family as quickly as possible. So they can focus on jobs or business and return to their daily routine. You probably expect to have this occur at minimal impact to you on all levels, physically, emotionally, logistically and financially. If you are a family person, committed to children and you and your partner both work or have your own business, this is all the more relevant. And if this is how you feel...your correct. We want you to know that we feel the same. So, if your needs are for us to make compromises in how we discreetly blend into your lifestyle, we are happy to oblige. However, if we believe that your expectations will expose us or you to unnecessary danger, we will not compromise. The reason I make this point is two fold. Since you are contemplating putting your lives and assets in our hands, you have a right to know our principles. And since our failure could be tragic, failure is not an option. And finally my somewhat unique background and training allows me to say " I know what your going through and I know how you feel". Since I am a protector and have been a "protectee", I do know (see resources page for links to my personal page). Now because this website is a public forum and is available to potential threats to our protectees, nothing that could give them any insight into our methods or procedures can be discussed on these pages. Below you will find a schedule of the types of threats that we manage.
Max and Christine Caulfield provide security for our client's private party. This client found herself in a great deal of distress, the specifics of which cannot be discussed. I can say that the threat was very real, our client already had a "near miss" in what we believed was an attempt to intimidate her, at very least. She however was not. She is a very strong women. She is a corporate CEO who has never even heard of "the glass ceiling." The party in her home, which was a 17,500 square foot water- front home. With 4 floors and 22 exterior doors. In her great room is a computer operated pipe organ with 1000 pipes 2 organs and a grand piano. This room has 38 foot ceilings. It is also on a private road. In short, a security nightmare. Add to this a guest list of over 300 people a few of which had "dignitary" status and armed security people with them. Just one more catch, she doesn't want the guest's to know why were there. You are looking at what guests saw when they arrived Max & Christine. If you enlarge the above photo (click it) all you will see in my hand is a radio, so I could speak with the valet's...of course. Christine's ear mike is concealed by her long hair (normally in a ponytail). What don't you see? Plenty. Nearly 20 protection specialist's well concealed throughout the site. From people on the roof to the road, among the valet's, working in the kitchen and with food server's, to a boat patrolling the shoreline, to two K-9's and their handlers. The party went without a hitch. The cost? Staggering by anyone's standard I'm sure. Piece of mind? Priceless. This was a case of extremes.

In any of the above circumstances there are a few things you should do. 1) Get yourself and your family to a place of safety immediately. 2) Dial 911 or contact your municipal, state or federal law enforcement professionals. 3) If appropriate activate your family or company emergency plan. 4) Contact your Attorney for advice about exective protection / threat management. 5) Contact Caulfield Investigations or have your Attorney contact us. | 17,500 square feet. 38 foot ceilings in this room. Behind the glass in front of the instruments 1000 pipes. On the wood at the top of the photo, various musical horns and other instruments. We lived there with our client for nearly two months. Never did get used to it. But we have been in much worse places while we were under siege with a client. |

Our favorite pass time is the game of PaintBall. While we try not to we sometimes think of it as just another tactical exercise. Since we play at a competition level, it's hard not to. We started this company with revenue provided by the field we built and owned. We are quite proud of it. If you have never tried the game you should. It's great exercise and about the most fun you can have with your clothes on. I included these photos, from the write-up in the industry magazine, if your interested.

Welcome to K-9 Quimbo's Kennel Our K-9 program is a major player in our approach to protection. Because a well trained K-9 is such an asset to any protection team, we spend a great deal of time on training our dogs to handle the many variables that can be found in an urban environment. Our current dog is Quimbo. He is a four year old German Shepherd Dog (GSD) imported from Germany to this country when he was about 16 months of age. His training is based on Schutzhund which he began the basics of when he was a pup in Europe. After he came to the states he began training for basic Police work. He is trained in Obedience, Obstacles, Tracking, Building Search and Handler Defense. He is impervious to most of the things that trouble the average pet dog. Examples of this might be high places, loud noisy environments such as factory's, industrial machinery, aircraft, marine vessels, nightclubs, concerts, slippery surfaces, crowds and of course gunfire. As a matter of fact he sort of likes gunfire. Quimbo likes everyone and is very social, especially children. As any good protection dog should. Contrary to many myths protection dogs should be outgoing and friendly, if not they won't be there when you may need them (if they have to be "put away" when strangers are around). Besides, socializing with people is how Quimbo tells the GOOD GUYS from the BAD GUYS. The Bad Guys usually act different then the good guys. Since I began my career as a police K-9 instructor, it makes sense that dogs would still be a big part of my world and they are. If you retain Caulfield Investigations to protect your family or business and it is necessary to secure a fixed site, such as an office, store, construction site, marine vessel, aircraft or estate, there is a good chance you will meet him. If anyone reading this plans on doing harm to one of our clients...there's a good chance you will meet him too!
